Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can participate by hosting when I am not traveling, being conscious and sensitive around people's spaces, sharing my travel and life experiences and helping travelers when they are visiting my city.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met lots of interesting people through CS and for the most part I've had good experiences. It is a great concept for people who like to travel as much as I do.

Interests

To learn with everyone I meet and share everything I know.I am interested in writing, photography, film, yoga, meditation, cultures, permaculture (sustainable living in all aspects)and languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

Foreign and independent films are my favorite but any film that I keep thinking about it for days after I see it, like Apocalypse Now, Crash, Dogville and most of Lars Von Trier's films. As for music, right now Radiohead and Iceland's group Sigur Ros are my favorite. In terms of books, everything that falls into my hands and keeps my interest. At the moment I am reading a lot of Vladimir Nobokov's books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I get up every morning and feel the oxygen coming into my lungs -- that is amazing. Other than that, I've done many amazing things, from walking 300 kilometers in Spain, lived in a Zen monastery in Japan, walked from Cuzco to Machu Picchu, crossed the Amazon River on a hammock for 9 days, saw glaciers in Alaska melting down and traveled down the Ganges river in India, from the Himalaya to where it ended in Calcutta. But the most amazing thing I am able to do sometimes is to find the present moment between the infinite flow of thoughts.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am constantly learning with everyone I meet, from different cultures and age groups. The important thing is to keep an open mind because we all have something to teach, learn and share.
