CURRENT MISSION

I've lived in New York City, France and Germany. I enjoy talking one on one to people from different areas in the world. I currently live in a nice suburb just west of Albany, NY.
ABOUT ME

I have lived in other countries as well as popular tourist destinations. During this time, I found that I liked being a host. I've lived in France and Germany for one year each, in New York City for 15 years, and from 1993 until 2012 I lived in New Orleans. I moved back to upstate NY in 2012. I really enjoy meeting new people and have been told I'm a good at creating a good atmosphere for travelers.

PHILOSOPHY

I used to teach philosophy...and now work as a mental health/addiction counselor in Social Work.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had many people stay with me since I joined a few years back, with a hiatus while I went back to school for Social Work. I enjoyed going out with both of them and showing them the local music scence as well as a bit of the French Quarter. (Prior to 2012 when in New Orleans.)

Grand Canyon, Lived in Paris and Berlin one year each, as well as New York City and New Orleans. Favorite areas in the US other than cities: Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York, Yosemite Valley, Northern New Mexico/Santa Fe/Taos for its spiritual "sense".
