About Me

CURRENT MISSION

live, learn and contribute

ABOUT ME

Originally hailing from Gloucester, England, home to the world famous cheese rolling contest, I embarked upon the arduous training to become a pharmacist, completing 6 hour drug synthesis labs, and becoming famous in university as the only girl to jump the campus moat. After several years as a self-employed ´legal dealer´, I followed my dream to live in the mountains of Japan, surfing the beautiful ´konayuki´or powder snow of Hokkaido. Working for a nepalese restaurant (yes, still in the Japanese mountains),exploring Japan and meeting great people has fuelled my passion for more travel, and I plan to revive the Spanish I learnt in school, and volunteer abroad in South America.

PHILOSOPHY

You reap what you sow in life - treat all people with equal respect and kindness, and have the courage to think independently.

Those who dream by day are cognisant of many things that escape those who dream only at night - EA Poe

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this particular moment, I have surfed just one couch (or tatami mat) in Japan. My first host offered me remarkable hospitality, kindness and trust in what was such a lacking profile! I look forward to more great experiences through Couch Surfing, but most of all, I can´t wait to open up my home to others once I finally own my own couch (or even just a floor).

Interests

music & drumming, cake baking, talking about drugs & neuroscience, riding the powder snow, photographing decay, butchering & embellishing the english language.
