Overview
About Me
I'm an aspiring traveler who unluckily hasn't traveled enough. I have lived in Pune pretty much all my life and love my city. I work as a Learning Consultant and usually work from home so it's difficult to meet new people. I love learning about new cultures and food is a big passion with me. I also love animals and have three pets; a dog and two cats. I live and usually travel with my husband too, but unluckily it's mostly for work.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing to meet new and interesting people and help them discover what I love about where I live. I'd also like to travel and have that same courtesy extended to me. I've always believed that people make a place, and find the people, culture and food of a place more interesting than just the sights. I think this will be a fun way of discovering and helping some one else discover those things.
Interests
I love food, animals, tv shows, books, movies and all the regular stuff. I've been learning to play the piano for a long time but never gotten very far. I'm interested in learning anything new and I love listening to stories.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm pretty eclectic, but I prefer soft rock in music, fiction in books (especially murder mysteries), and psychological thrillers in movies.
Some of my all time favourites are:
Song: You've got to hide your love away
Books: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Movies: Se7en
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My husband and I fought to bring back our little black kitten we had adopted when we were in Toronto. We fought a new legislation and launched a petition that got the attention of the MP who had initiated the legislation. After hearing our story and pleas, she helped us get the kitten back and created a procedural change in the legislation that allowed us and others like us to keep our pets when moving back to India.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a learning consultant and believe strongly in sharing experiences and knowledge. I am currently working with my husband in creating a new curriculum for schools which is revolutionary and I would love to share those ideas with you. Besides that, I would love to learn anything that people would have to teach me. I have a patient ear.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my home in return, my cooking, my stories and my time. :) I'd also be happy to pick up things (legal things!) for them from Pune/India.
