Free spirited, open minded traveler type that loves to live and work in community. I want to wake up every day excited for what is in store. Money and material things aren't as important to me as experience, connection, and making good memories. I want to do my part to help reconnect people to each other and to the natural environment.

PHILOSOPHY

Follow the beat of your own drum. Analyze everything you believe, filter everything you perceive. Give up trying to impress people and you'll do just that. Find yourself, and don't criticize those who try to do the same- who wants to be normal anyway?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am pretty new to couchsurfing, have met a couple people in my travels, but I haven't hosted or stayed with anyone yet!

Interests

Permaculture, hunting, fishing, foraging, food forestry, herbalism, green shelter construction, primitive skills, firedancing, playing music, surfing, intentional community, non violent communication, hot shop art (glassblowing, metalcasting, and metal art).

Music, Movies, and Books

I have been reading a lot of Thich Nat Hahn, Daniel Quinn, Depack Chopra, and Eckhart Tolle. Just finished The Prophet. I love to read books that teach me how to do construct, plant, grow, or create things too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have flown as a helicopter crew chief in the Marine Corps. Surfed both oceans. Lived like a nomad in a pop up camper! I've been a rollercoaster mechanic for six flags and a mechanic on corporate jets. Lived in nine states so far, travelled to almost all of them. Ready to see the rest of the world!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach about self sufficiency, permaculture, wild foraging, hunting and fishing, green construction techniques, basic herbalism, fermentation, welding and metal fabrication, and playing guitar.
