ABOUT ME

I am working at several universities and at a school in my hometown. I teach german literature, language and media, philosophy, history and politics.
I have two daughters, that are already grown up, strong women.

Here I am, Lara, the younger daughter. Today I begin to use the profle of my father for my own purposes.
I like to get in contact to interesting people all over the world. I would like to have guests in the appartement of my father, maybe also my mother, and I would like to travel my own.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We can offer a couch or two. My hometown and the region which I am living in is not a touristic destination in the normal sense. It is one of the former industrial centers of Germany. After the era of coal and steel has ended here it has had a far reaching structural change. It is one of the biggest urban agglomeration on the planet with a lot of cultural attraction. I can recommend it. It is worth visiting it. You can be my guest.
The other way round I am interested in different countries and in people living her life in other parts of the world.
I regard myself as a cosmopolitan.

Interests

Me, Werner, I am interested and working in the field of philosophy, semiotics, cultural studies and media studies, discours analysis in the sense of Michel Foucault and others.
I like discussing topics like this, I like discussions in general. What is called "socialising" has a specific philosophical meaning in my judgement.
I am curious. Especially curious about people.

Teach, Learn, Share

Ich kann ein Gebiet auf akademischem Niveau unterrichten, das sich in etwa umzäunen läßt mit den Markierungen: deutsche Literaturwissenschaft, Kommunikationswissenschaft, Philosophie, Semiotik und Medienwissenschaft. Ich verstehe mich als Diskursanalytiker im Anschluß an Michel Foucault und anderen. Das Alles ist theoretische Praxis, also in den Augen vieler Menschen im unmittelbaren Sinne unpraktisch. Ich würde mich um so mehr freuen, wenn es nachgefragt würde.
Ich diskutiere gerne.
