Overview
About Me
I am a Year 2.5 PhD candidate at Imperial. Theorising curiosity and designing cognitive technology that enables heritage enjoyment, meaningful social interactions, and informal learning.
I wrote English blog occasionally: https://tea-space.blogspot.com/
I have a LinkedIn profile too: https://www.linkedin.com/in/tx-tianxiao-wang/
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was recommended by a friend of mine, who is an experienced CS surfer.
I used to be scared of travelling to unfamiliar cities and places but I decide to make a change. So I register myself on CS and I want to learn more about this community of people, whose kindness and willingness to make a world a better place for explorers. I want to hear about your motivations and stories about hosting strangers and how you become friends.
I am currently a warden at Imperial College London, and if you need an overnight stay in London, I can possibly arrange that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to a boarding school in Singapore and live independently at 16.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to speak Mandrain (Chinese), use chopsticks (I was applaused for being a patient and inspirational teacher of chopsticks usage), learn about your personalities using the Big Five Test (forget about MBTI!), and discuss technology and philosophies.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook Chinese and fusion food. I'd love to share about Chinese culture, how to become an expert museum visitor, how to use AI to make your work and life easier, and some stories of me supporting students at high schools and universities.
