My name is Tiara Lau(chinese name is 家瑩）. I am 22 years old now and currently studying at the University of Hong Kong. I was born in Hong Kong but my family is from Guangdong province in mainland China so I am familiar with Hakka culture and language.

I used to study in a local school in Hong Kong, then I transferred to Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong in my last two years of high school.I lived with three other roommates, they are from Singapore, USA and Turkey. Throughout my 1.5 years of dorm life, I also had chance to live with roommates from Netherlands, Korea and Vietnam. I am interested in learning langauges and exploring new culture. I love traveling,writing, reading, trying new things, music,etc.

I took a gap year before entering university. I wanted to challenge myself and try new things. I tried voluntary work and travelled in most of the Asian countries.
