About Me

I was born in Hungary but grew up in Austria. I didn't enjoy my school education too much which ended becoming an electrical engineer, therefore I spent a lot of time on all kind of sports, outdoor sports, adventures, and traveling. Should have studied biology! :-) After quitting that Electrical Engineer office job I hitchhiked across Europe and met a lot of friendly people of all kind of cultures. Somehow my curiosity pushed me towards America, where I again hitchhiked, camped, rock-climbed for some years. Before my savings ended I moved to China to train acrobatics at the Chinese National Circus School in Beijing. After 3 years of bone-hard training, I not only got good circus skills but also my Chinese fluent. Luckily we (me and my wife) could tour in several different countries ... under many distinct conditions. We ended up having our base in Mexico. This doesn't mean that I stopped traveling and exploring, actually I m just a few steps from getting a professional cave explorer due to my underwater cave diving activities, which are getting more and more serious. In July 2017 I bursted my knees and so,(temporarily) ended my career as a Circus Artist. Music helped a lot to overcome the initial sadness, I started to practice piano and ukulele. During the Trans-Siberian Railroad journey with my family, i was able to pick up some Mongolian throat singing ( overtone singing or Tibetan chants ), which I still practice and teach. That's pretty much a quick summary of my past. People that know me say that my weakness is the cookies, although I consider myself a conscious person - I don't smoke and don't drink alcohol, I love vegetarian or vegan food but I am not strict and eat meat in occasions. Everything i do it with passion. And I LOVE ANIMALS, every living being. Trees, plants, nature itself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I love to meet people and enjoy all the insider information that one can get when staying with locals. An unfriendly person would not offer his space to share, just as unfriendly people don't pull over to give you a ride. I 've received possibly a thousand rides and given about one or two hundred yet, I 've Couchsurfed even before Couchsurfing existed so many times and had shared my roof with random people so many times. After years of traveling one gets to know so many people all around the world that even something as great as Couchsurfing becomes unnecessary since you contact your friends privately when one happens to return to the same places. But yes its great to share. The reason why I have set "not accepting guests" is because even without this platform we are at our maximum hosting capacities. We constantly! have people staying at our place, sometimes even as long as for 3 months!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked as teenager at bungeejumpschool, and jumped of the worlds highest bungee tower in Macao. Skydived. Crossed one big Chunk of mexican desert in 3 days of walking. Copied a trapeze act in Rauxa in 5 days (without having done trapeze). Climbed Space Boys at El Potrero Chico and summit north americas 3rd highest peak - Pico de Orizaba. Got hugged by Moray Eels while snorkeling. Thought some chinese people diving without them knowing how to swim.
