I'm originally from Jamaica and have lived in Pembroke Pines FL (20 mins from Ft.Lauderdale) for over 20 years. I've played tennis since I was 5, high school (girls captain), and in college. I love music, and play a little bit. I'll try anything once, especially if it's adventurous! Crafting and creating are my thing, and how I make a living. I left corporate world about 6 months ago and know I'll never return. I love the beach, and actually go to swim...that's not too common in sofla lol. I love being around people that offer a great convo and laughs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

You can go to a hotel and be in your own bubble or get out there and meet people in the culture. I think the latter gives you a better feel and experience :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a huge Tina Turner fan, like HUGE. I also like Beatles, Stones, Madonna, Beach Boys (gotta love that Brian Wilson harmony), Cher, and a myriad of other things. Some days I listen to Ella and Billie...other it's Bowie and Reed. Goodfellas is my fave movie of all time, League of Their Own is definitely my second. Outliers is my favorite book, beyond that I love autobiographical books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amazing or crazy? I once swam in gator waters unknowingly and continued once I found out. We had been mudding all day and needed to wash off....plus they don't like splashing so they'll stay away usually. Can't say I plan to do it again in the future.

I've taught a few things. I enjoy teaching, but I enjoy learning a little more. Tennis, swimming, and crafts.
