Hello! My name is Tihitina Berhanu (Titi). I was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and grew up in California, USA. I currently live in San Diego and work as a server. I recently graduated from San Diego State University with a B.A. in International Security and Conflict Resolution. I am passionate about the seeing the world and I hope to dedicate my life to working as a humanitarian to elevate people out of poverty.

I recently completed a teaching abroad program in China and I fell completely in love with it. It opened my eyes to my need to travel and see the world. I strongly believe it is my calling to experience the world and learn about all the amazing people and cultures. Unfortunately, I am not financially wealthy; therefore, I must fulfill my urge to travel on a serious budget. I learned about Couch surfing from travelers in China. I am planning on traveling through Europe and then through Asia. I am excited to see beautiful places and meet new people and make amazing memories. :)

I am interested in traveling, of course. I am also interested in meeting new people and learning about new cultures to broaden my perspectives. I am also very interested in having fun. I hope my traveling experiences allows me to grow as a person. I want to make memories filled with laughter, dancing, good conversations, delicious food, and so on.

Musica, film e libri

I love all kinds of music, but everyone always says that. I listen to mostly hip hop and R&B (the quality kind). I'm okay with a little bit of pop, country, rock , etc.
I love movies!!! My favorite (I know, super cheesy) is Titanic, but my list includes, Good Will Hunting, Forrest Gump, A Beautiful Mind, The Departed, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club...
Books...Harry Potter, The Hobbit, Crime and Punishment, The De Vinci Code
and just now started "100 years of Solitude."

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

After I finished my teaching program in China, I decided to see as much of the country as I could on my own. I didn't do much planning, I basically just winged it and it was so much fun that way. I met other foreigners traveling through the country and I took their advice on destinations to visit. I went from one city to the next, spontaneously, and I had the time of my life. I hope to recreate that again.
