ABOUT ME

I'm a Finnish girl currently living as an erasmus in Padova, Italy. I love what I study and I love studying. Natural sciences, in particular the human body and immunology are what turns me on, academically. I am also willing to teach you everything I know, so don't ask me about anything science related, unless you really want to know! :)

Apart from spending long days at the library and in classes, I love to go out and around Padova and you can catch me in the activities our lovely ESN Padova arranges for us. I like partying in it's real Finnish meaning (in which we Finnish some bars) and just as much chilling at home watching old and new movies. You will rarely see me without my mp3 in which I play everything from Mustasch to Flo Rida and you might even here me attempting to sing along. I am friendly and open towards people and I don't remember what getting embrassed feels like. I laugh trough what I can and hope that when you smile the world smiles back at you.

Interests

My goal in life is to feel everything, see even more and try every tasty dish that the world has to offer. Food is a wonderful thing and eating truly is one of the greatest pleasures in life. I love it so much that I also have to take part in another pleasure that is called working out. I work out a lot in the form of going to the gym or martial arts so I can eat even more.

I'm passionate about making sweet things, baking but I rarely have the patience to follow the recipes and therefore everytime I create something a little different, sometimes for the better other times not. I'm hoping to pick up some new recipes now that I'm in Italy, although I don't think anything will top the tricks my mother and granmother have taught me and the things they still will.

Apart from that, I love spending my time learning more and more about the nature.. how it works and what makes it not work. I can never get enough of cells and how they form such beautiful and complex things also known as humans. One day I would like to know everything and understand life completely from that point of view so I have an endless amount to study and a life that will never get boring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sauna. Yes, I said it. And to be clear the Finnish mökki-sauna which includes a nice swim in a lake or in the sea during summer and during winter. So temperature changing from hot to cold and hot again. The experience also includes a grilled sausage and a cold beer while relaxing and feeling more alive than ever. I am addicted and you should be too. Before you have experienced the Finnish sauna, you haven't really lived. No, but seriously, give it a try!
