About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make a difference in my city, surround myself with great people, spark imagination and excitement

ABOUT ME

Fun and energetic, always on the go. Rarely at home; in the winter I'm usually working hard, in the summer playing hard and going away. Degree in international relations, and I try to travel frequently and see either new parts of the world or old favorites. I'm always plugged into activities and surrounded by friends, so find myself pretty stretched for time, but always find the energy for the things that matter. Live music is a #1 hobby, creative pursuits #2, and in the summer anything involving water gives me boundless energy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have realized that my apartment often sits empty, would rather see it get used. And considering how much I'm away, could be very useful to have places to stay and meet new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I come from a family of musicians, and it's one of my passions. I have a huge vinyl collection: rock, jazz, hip hop, African, reggae, electronica

Movies I watch during the winter

Books: non-fiction - history, world politics, philosophy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drove across Canada to climb a mountain. Reached said mountain, climbed it, slept in an alpine meadow next to a stream, was so energized that I started climbing the next mountain. Swam in a glacier lake. All in a day's work. I try to have at least 2 days this challenging and invigorating every year.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've seen life through a lot of different lenses: successful professional, international development volunteer, world traveler, leader & instigator, listener & observer. Lucky to constantly find myself in unexpected and fascinating situations.
