Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to travel to places and really experience those cities as a local rather than a tourist. Couch surfing allows people to meet new people from different parts of the world within the space of someones home, I think that's pretty special ! Also I like that couch surfing uses the tool of technology , which is usually criticised for isolating individuals, to bring people together, creating a community!

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music I like pretty much everything from punk to classical, I'm keen on Neo-soul, my travelling music at the moment is Brian eno but my go to guilty pleasure is Joni Mitchell. I can't tell you my favourite book as that question always induces a slight panic but my summer reads are Orlando by virgina Woolf, whose a favourite, and Claudia Rankine's American lyric. Film wise again can't tell you my favourite but a film I go back to is I am love.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope I'll be good company, I have a fair few entertaining stories! I love meeting new people and hearing people's stories ! For me, good conversation over a glass of wine is an ideal evening in! On a more practical side I can provide help with anyone learning English, I also love cooking and weirdly like washing up too!
