Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Tilman and I'm half German and half French. I'm originally from Stuttgart but have been living in Karlsruhe since I started my studies there in 2012.
My biggest hobbies are travelling, playing music (guitar, saxophone and ukulele), going to the cinema, doing sports (handball, soccer, american football and rugby), photography and filming. While travelling I love to combine some of those hobbies (e.g. making a film out of the material I got while travelling). As a beerlover I like to discover other countries beer culture. I got to know lot's of European beers in the last year, so now it's time to discover the rest of the beer-world ; )
I really like to meet people from different countries and cultures. I'm an openminded person who likes to talk about almost anything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really enjoy to meet local people, see places through their eyes and listen to their stories. I find that more interesting than just doing the typical tourist stuff. Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to visit places this way. The first time I got in contact with couchsurfing was back in 2017. I travelled with a friend of mine in Finland. She found someone to host us through couchsurfing and it was a great experience! The host was super friendly and we had good conversations. That's why I would like to use couchsurfing more often in the future :)

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite music is Alternative Rock and Post-Hardcore like Rise Against, A Day To Remember, Silverstein, Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon, Papa Roach but I'm really listening to everything.
My favorites movies are Jason Bourne, Fast and Furious and more or less everything from Marvel.
I'm reading a lot of Thrillers, my favourite author is Dan Brown.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
At the age of 19 I fulfilled my childhood dream by working as a Castmember at Disneyland Paris. There I came in touch with people from the whole world. Till now the best memories of my live.
Every two years i do volontary work in a foreign country with other volunteers from all around the world. I really like the idea of working for a good cause, while meeting new people and get in touch with locals.
Teach, Learn, Share
I decided to always travel with my ukulele (if possible) since I started playing in 2017. So in case you want to learn how to play ukulele I would be happy to teach you!
Furthermore I had the change of a bilingual education. I'm fluent in German and French and can help people to learn those languages.
While working for Disneyland and through my voluntary work I had the chance to get to know Europe and it's people, so if you have any questions about Europe I might be able to answer questions.
I am also able to tell you stuff about beer in case you are interested in that. Last but not least I can cook some traditional South-German (Swabian) meals.
