Hey!

In short, Im just a guy from Denmark, but I'll try to use a few more words.

I finished gymnasium, a university-entrance-level education and planned to take 2 years sabbatical - 1 year for working and saving up money and 1 year for travelling - well, at least as far as the money would go...

The working and saving-up part is over and the time has come! In August 2017 I went for on a road trip for a month around parts of Europe in my trustworthy VW Golf, which unfortunately I have to sell now. I'm now headed to southern parts of Africa and several countries in Asia - a 6 month trip.

I prepher to not plan that much, I don't neccesarily need to know where I am or what I'm doing, I'm just up for making the best of it. A laidback attitude, the only downside is I can't really tell you what I'm going to be doing in a a year or two - I hope to feel inspired about something and that it will motivate me and fuel my pursuit of whatever-it-may-be.

Im very open to taste any local food, but I must say I am vegan (I don't eat animals or a product from them - I like to pet or see them much more 😂) however Im very OK with everyone being different and doing their own thing, so I'll gladly help cooking anything😊

I always try to bring something to the table and I'm always able to get along with just about everybody.
I'm abit of a last-minute-guy - I hope to surf as much as possible on my journey, but of course... I'm finally completing my profile a few hours before my flight...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My brother introduced me to Couchsurfing during our road trip around Europe - the parts of the trip I enjoyed the most was meeting and getting to know people - so of course I was immediately a fan of Couchsurfing, as it effectively brings people together and offers a more authentic, local travelling experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music... Abit all over the place, in my own way: Tenacious D, J. Cole, Eminem, Major Lazer, Kendrick Lamar!

Movies... I'm not sure I can say I have a favourite, but Im a big fan of comedy movies like Anchorman, Zoolander, the Pick of Destiny - but also fantasy/sci-fi like Thor-movies, tv-series like Vikings, Marco Polo, Game of Thrones.

Books... Must admit, haven't read that many. I loved the Eragon books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first thing that comes to mind makes me smile, but I won't share it here - It's abit embarrasing, maybe even silly. Perhaps after a beer I'll tell you in person.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach/Share... Some of the danish language and perhaps talk of interesting topics and perspectives - for example, 'the danish mindset' in terms of culture/attitude/general opinion.
Learn... Im interested in learning bits and pieces of all languages. One day I would like to be able to introduce myself and have a basic conversation in several languages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I always try to adapt to different people/situations/culture and try to make the best of it - good company for a start and don't hesitate to ask for help with whatever. Also my dishwashing skills are above average, not to brag.
