About Me

26 y/o from US living in London for the moment and looking to travel by bike through Europe during the summer of 2019. I just completed an MA in Art History and will (hopefully) find work in a museum or continue my studies. I have been skiing most of my life and love spending time in the mountains whether its backpacking, climbing, skiing touring, mountaineering, hiking, or some righteous combination of things. I'm a very outgoing and sociable person whose always up for an excursion of pretty much any kind and I love a good jam session (banjo is my preferred instrument).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Having the opportunity to build and be part a global network of friends that extends beyond the interwebs into actual life is one of the best aspects of this age of digital communication. I look forward to contributing to this community both as a thoughtful and responsible guest and, some day soon, a fun and compassionate host.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like quite a bit of music, like most people these days. When it comes to playing music I like folk and bluegrass, in addition to classic rock. My favorite author is probably Albert Camus, but again, I have pretty diverse tastes. I have not read a lot of fantasy type series (Lord of the Rings, Song of Ice and Fire) so I can't really engage in such conversation, but will smile and nod accordingly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skiing Mt Rainier was really cool since my climbing partners and I deviated from the typical routes and made a pretty interesting ascent followed by an all night party in Seattle for Pride Festival.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do have quite a bit of teaching and tutoring experience, so if anyone wants some help with maths (through Calculus) or Chemistry, I can certainly assist. Always happy to talk about art and history. I'm looking improve my Spanish and learn Italian as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will do dishes, sing songs, play music, philosophize, keep tidy and not snore. I enjoy cooking, although since I am not particularly talented, will occupy a sous chef of assistant position when it comes to matters of the kitchen.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico

Countries I’ve Lived In

England, New Zealand
