I recently finished my PhD and want to take a break after 20+ years of school. I've been to several countries in Europe and absolutely loved it so I'm looking to go back for a few months and see much more. I enjoy going out to a pub, but also just hanging out with friends having a beer and good conversation. Some of the best times are had just listening to other people's stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my favorite parts of being in grad school was the opportunity to travel. I've been to several European countries for work and conferences and got to meet many interesting and diverse people. Experiencing different cultures was absolutely amazing. That's what I'm looking for in couchsurfing. I want to meet new people and experience the culture that typical tourists miss. It's hard to do that when you're staying in a hotel room.
