Well let's see, I am 23 years old and I finished my Bachelors degree in 2017. After that I was traveling for half a year in Indonesia and Australia. Since I have been back I started to save up for my next trip, since am taking another gap year.
I grew up bilingual due to my parents being Dutch and German. I like traveling because it allows me to get to know different opinions and broaden my horizon. I am always amazed to be confronted with people, who grow up with a completely different frame of mind. Anyhow I just like to meet people and gain valuable experiences, which are unique.

Couchsurfing is a good way to meet locals. Thus its a direct link to actually experiencing a place the way it actually is. Instead of simply getting tourist information from internet sites or the local tourist information center one can actually get a first hand experience from locals, who have lived there.
I simply think its a much more personal way of traveling.
It is so nice that people are offering to open their homes to strangers. This truly allows for a unique experience.
