About Me

Hi, I am Tim, and I study spatial planing in Dortmund.
I am in my last year of university right now and I want to use the freedom I still have right now to travel as much as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't have a lot of experience with couchsurfing yet but I love the idea to discover a new place with the help of a native ;) Also to host someone and to see my home-region in the eyes of an alien sounds like fun. To my mind Couchsurfing can be a great way to find new friends while traveling.
While I have not so much experience with this website, I was often lucky to get a couch with the help of friends of friends and other lucky coincidences. Some of my best trips have been gotten unforgetable through this fortune, e.g. in Brazil, Romania, Russia or Spain.

Interests

I love to travel and whenever i do, i try to avoid the typical tourist-hotspots and find the special and/or typical places of where i am.
The best way to discover a cool place is by feet or bicylce to my opinion. This way you see everything and can stop everytime you want to find the special.
I like to play Badminton and to take care of my little garden on my balcony.
I am a vegetarian.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first Trip alone was a pilgrim Trip on the Camino de Santiago. Although I am not super religous it was one of the best trips of my life. I was stunned by the open-mindness of the people around me and the many different cultures of the other pilgrims.
