Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My girlfriend, Kaeleigh, and I will be traveling through Europe for three months this summer and are hoping to foster new friendships with some of the great people out there. We live in Oregon, USA and would be happy to meet and help travelers along their way in Portland, Oregon, which we live near. We're both curious, energetic individuals who are committed to fostering love and growth in our relationship and in the world!

I enjoy many different authors but I especially enjoy Cormac McCarthy and Tim O'Brien.

I enjoy movies directed by or featuring Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, and Christian Bale. I enjoy period pieces and films about history that are told through a dramatic lens and love documentaries about sports, outdoor activities, and nature.

Classic and alternative rock, country, and indie music are my most listened to genres of music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've run a 50K race in five hours that I trained for four months to complete.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: The science and processes of wildland fire, basic english, running and weightlifting techniques and form, how to find a great deal on plane tickets, and maybe some philosophical concepts if you're interested.

Learn: Any languages you might speak, how to improve my intermediate cooking skills, and your philosophy on life!

Share: Stories on my life so far, growing up in a small town in California and my journey to discover myself and my capabilities (so far).
