So what to write?
Well, I finished school in 2011 and started travelling for one year in New Zealand and Australia.
This trip really influenced me. I saw a lot of beaches, forests,lakes,waterfalls,... But most of all I met a lot of people who helped me to realise what are the real important things in life:
Nature and the people itself.
To help and know more about nature, I am studied Environmental Sciences in Wageningen, the Netherlands. Afterwards I lived in Costa Rica volunteering and doing an internship about biological corridors.
I travelled through Latin America until Peru. Now being back I did an ecological Master in the UK. Now I am working in Berlin in the sustainability field and enjoy my time here in this big city!
And the people? Well, I am always curios to meet new people and find out about their way of thinking about life and their path of life :)To learn new things by finding out the differences and commonalities.
To share experiences and have lots of fun.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When staying at a couchsurfers place I try to get to know the host as much as possible. Cause thats what CS is all about, meeting new people, right? It shouldnt be a way to just save money. Of course I can cook (or bake bread e.g.) for the host or together with the host ;)
I joined some groups like the one from my hometown to keep in touch with the people of CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most of my CS experiences have been positive. In New Zealand for example I stayed at a place where the host was from Germany and the same age as me. Some others were in the age of 60. I have always had lots of fun and gained new insights of lifes.
Just once I had a bad experience: I was out to camp in the Blue Mountains near Sydney with a CS host and another two German Couchsurfers. He invited us to his cave in the forest. We slept there for one night on the stony ground. I was definitely one of the most uncomfortable nights I ever had in my life :D
