ABOUT ME

I'm in a very typical situation for someone my age - I've just finished my studies at University and now I'm adventuring around the world. I'm going back to study when I get home to do a PhD (in Robotics) but right now I'm taking a break to see as much as I can, do as much as I can and meet as many people as I can.
I'm interested in a lot of things - too many to put down here - but I guess my main hobby (when I'm not travelling, working or studying) is surfing. So if you meet me you will see the surfboards that I've been carrying everywhere with me on this trip.
I play lots of sport and the odd tune on the guitar. I'm useless at learning languages, the moon walk, brushing my hair and keeping my blog up-to-date (but you can check it out at http://blogrom.tumblr.com/ for what's there so far).

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm one of those people who like anything and everything. If I was really pushed then I'd say my favourite movie is "Anchor Man", tv show is "McGyver", band is "Pink Floyd", book is "Sherlock Holmes" (I mean the entire collection), dance move is the "Sprinkler" and planet is "Jupiter".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Enjoyed Carnivale in Rio De Janeiro, Climbed Machu Picchu, surfed everywhere in Central America, seen the Mayan ruins in Tikal and driven across America. Oh it said one amazing thing - well in that case I can categorise it all into I've travelled (and am still travelling) around the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

For the techy: I can teach you how to build a solar powered mobile phone charger or how to teach a robot to self-navigate a maze.
For the sciency: I can teach you the amazing wonders of the universe from tiny quantum particles to massive blackholes.
For the sporty: I can teach you how to stand up on a surfboard or how to hit a golf ball.
For the travelly: I can teach you how to travel South and Central America without knowing much Spanish.
For anyone interested: I can teach you how to drink a beer (or any other liquid for that matter) from a shoe.
