I'm reading this book about criminal life in Barcelona at the moment, which is really about the insane and sometimes ridiculous characters of this world. It doesn't matter if you are in a fictional crime world or whatever social circle you find yourself in, everywhere there are characters and settings. Characters that at the most intimate moments will show themselves to be something completely unexpected, or somehow more interesting in a new and exciting way. I'm not saying life is like this work of fiction I'm referring to. Actually I think that is what I'm saying. In a sense. People and objects and cities and landscapes will always suprise and invoke a new feeling within me. Well.. as long as this is true I guess I'm gonna keep going. AND HAVE A GOOD TIME TOO.
Collecting moments until you have a lifetime of memories
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am an excellent surfer in the following ways:
I like to try.
I like to share.
I love adventure (time).
Now I live in Hong Kong. Let's make some evolution of ideas.
Years since I fell in love with surfing, I finally have a place where I can host! Time to pay it on.
MY FIRST COUCH SURFING EXPERIENCE:
Stayed with a girl who was one of the coolest people I'd met. Lived in an old primary school where there were tons of empty rooms, art, graffiti everywhere and we had some mad nights out together in Amsterdam.
To walk into a cafe/bar and ask the shopkeeper to offer me his personally recommended tasty treats. Maybe this is their family shop. Maybe that picture of a boy on the wall is him. Can I try a glass of what everyone is drinking here? Oh, it's the own-made sherry of this shop. Nice.
Snowboarding season! :D ... and Festival Season!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Trying to dub Ben back home on the bike we bought for 10 Euro and failing. Trying to buy another bike for 15 and failing hard. Sharing a smoke on the canal side with new friends from Estonia and Sweden. Staying in an old community hall or something in Amsterdam. Meeting students downstairs from my room in the new bar opened by Tommy's house mate/bar owner. Slurping fruit punch through a straw out the bowl with random arts students in a South London dorm. Missioning to Vegas on my own after friends bailed and having a stellar time with girls celebrating their 21st birthday in New York New York. Learning craps and then forgetting craps. Camping for free around America and living off Manna food that our employers gifted to us. Driving across America and back again with 3 lovely staff from my summer camp. Eating expired peas with hot sauce straight out the can. Taking 8 rides and 5 hours to hitchhike across Istanbul. Avoiding petrol bombs and tear gas below us from the Akropolis. Being stuck in Athens for 5 consecutive days of strikes and riots. Getting in the car with an Albanian man and being taken to a Russian brothel. Being held hostage by Albanian man while trying to flee in a taxi. Making 5 second decision to fly to Sofia. Making 2 hour decision to leave Bansko and surf Eastern Europe on my own.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Months of trying most of the food around during Tin Hau means I can point you to the better ones so you can avoid the duds!
