About Me

CURRENT MISSION

¿Qué es lo que se pierde al cruzar una frontera?, cada momento parece partido en dos, melancolía por lo que queda atrás y por otro lado, todo el entusiasmo por entrar en tierras nuevas.

ABOUT ME

I'm currently working as a software engineer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA at a robotics company.

I like the outdoors, food, coffee, wine, a well-constructed sentence, foreign languages, rock climbing, yoga, a good argument, photography, travel (particularly by bicycle), and attention to detail. I have a cheerful disposition, and am excited by opportunities to teach or learn (about anything!).

PHILOSOPHY

I love meeting new people, learning new things, traveling to new places, and building relationships.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Glowing recommendations from friends and a philosophy I can agree with drew me into CouchSurfing. I have met some local CSers from my town's message board, and have hosted a couple travelers, and surfed for the first time just recently. In all cases, I've been super happy to meet fellow CSers! Over and over, I've had incredible experiences; it's truly a fantastic way to travel, and I can't imagine doing it any other way.

Additionally: during a bicycle trip with friends in 2008, I used a similar site (but with a smaller, more cycling-specific community) called WarmShowers.org, and immensely enjoyed the hospitality of that site's members.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a couple CouchSurfers, and surfed a few times. Every time I am impressed with the great CSers I've met. Spending time with folks who live at your destination really enhances the traveling experience!
