About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Abundance Mindset

ABOUT ME

I'm a very goal driven individual who should probably mediate more.

I vibe well with any individual who has a clear sense of purpose in what they are doing: whether its travel, their work, or art.

While my funds are currently scarce, l believe there is a lot of wisdom in practicing an abundance mindset.

In Tokyo (for almost 3 years), I was an aspiring DJ, but met that with a somewhat disillusioned reality: I couldn't earn a living. I ended up struggling with English Teaching and afterward, a low-paying corporate job, but decided to depart in December 2014 with my dreams and goals in hand.

Now, I'm trying to create my revenue through two separate streams: a Kickstarter campaign and a nightlife blog. In addition to this, I learn how to make music.

My blog: www.tokyonightowl.com
My Kickstarter: www.okamipack.com
My music: www.soundcloud.com/timeslut

I'm temporarily in the UK- bit of an oversight because it's so expensive- but I'll be back in the USA in early February.

CURRENT PHILOSOPHY

It takes as long as it takes.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to help travelers to Tokyo with the clubbing experience. I still do (online), but right now, I'm not participating as much as I used to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had some amazing graciousness during my time in Australia (when I went flat broke).

Interests

Financial freedom, music production, fitness, nutrition (needs a revamp - help), and overcoming language barriers.

Current Goals:

Adding high value content to www.tokyonightowl.com

Developing my Kickstarter campaign launch (it's a backpack).

Consistent production uploaded to my Soundcloud: www.soundcloud.com/timeslut

Music, Movies & Books

Music- I really enjoy music of all forms, but am heavily inclined to a solid beat (broken beats specifically). Drum and bass is one of my favorite forms of music to dance too, but i have a long history and love for house, trance, electro, and a recent interest in trap music.

I co-founded Bassick in Tokyo (www.facebook.com/bassicktokyo).

Books and Blogs - Self Development and Non-Fiction. I enjoy these blogs on masculinity: Danger and Play, Bold and Determined.

Fiction: I don't read fiction anymore, but my previous favorite authors were Philip K. Dick, Hunter S. Thompson, and Jack Kerouac.

Movies: I don't really watch many movies. Some old favorites: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Children of Men, Lost in Translation, American Beauty, Requiem for a Dream

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Cruising through Vietnam and Laos on a motorcycle
