CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to see as much of the world as possible, even though I don't have a lot of time to in my current life, and I fear I will get even less time once I start working, so I want to see as much as possible now!

ABOUT ME

My name is Tim, I'm 22 years old. My parents are German and Dutch, so I can speak both of those languages pretty well, but growing up in English speaking countries means English is my best language. I love hanging out with friends and just having a good time, I'm generally a really laid back person, and take everyday as it comes.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't worry, be happy!

I don't like to worry about things in the future, I just live in the moment, live everyday as it comes and try and enjoy it, what is the point of living otherwise?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am completely new to the Couchsurfing world but I am open to participate in any way, shape or form.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Up until now I have only ever stayed in hotels or hostels on my travels, but I am very eager to experience new things and enter into the world of CouchSurfing. I'm very excited by the concept and hope it will generate some great experiences.

Interesses

I love theatre and music, I love to see, act in and direct theatre, similarly, I love to make music and also listen to it. I love reading, there is little better than a really great book, literature has become a great passion of mine recently.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I love indie music, I'm really into Canadian indie rock bands like 'Hey Rosetta!'. I also love bands like "Bombay Bicycle Club', 'The Naked and Famous', and 'Fotos'. In terms of movies, my favourite film ever is 'Synecdoche, New York' by Charlie Kaufmann. 'The World According to Garp' is my favourite book. I also like anything by Nick Hornby and I'm a big fan of Thomas Mann's work.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

I will always remember my trip to Bali as a child. We visited these temples which was inhabited by hundreds and hundreds of monkeys, being able to walk in amongst them and watch them steal people's sandwiches was an amazing experience, especially with these incredible temples towering above us everywhere.
