ABOUT ME

Hi all,
My name is Timen and I'm currently busy with clinical internships in the hospital of Amsterdam because I'm studying technical medicine. I love the technical challenge you're facing in the hospital and combining this with the ability to help people. It also makes you wonder about what's really important in life and how lucky you should consider yourself as a healthy person. Because the hospital sometimes can be a serious place to work I love to do sports in the evening. Playing volleyball, football, go for a run or swimming for example. It's also great to cook a nice diner to clear your mind. All these things are the most fun with a bunch of friends of course :) At last I started to play guitar a couple of years ago and I recently picked up the electric guitar as well. Besides these regular days I'm trying to pick up traveling a bit more to meet new people and having fun! So I hope to see you around soon :)

I like all kind of different types of music; rock, pop, punk, acoustic, trance, dance, house, and blues for example. It just depends on the song itself whether I like it and the mood I'm in.

And I like so many movies! They're mainly from after the 80's and some of my all time favorites are: Big Fish, 3-Iron (Bin-Jip), the butterfly effect, donnie darko, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelié Poulain, Fight Club, Forrest Gump, the Green Mile, Inception, Lucky Number Slevin, Magnolia, The Matrix, Memento, Mr. Nobody, Natural Born Killers, Rain Man, Rocknrolla, Sin City, Snatch, the Truman Show, and Twelve Monkeys.

Some of my favorite books are: Hitchhikers series, The importance of being earnest, Lamb: The gosple according to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal, Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Ender's Game, To Kill a Mockingbird, and The Hunger Games.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

One of the best experiences was my trip to South East Asia. It was a real eye opener to experience new cultures and also meet more people backpacking. That's when I decided I want to travel more and see what the world has to offer.
