I was initially raised in Auckland, New Zealand, but at the age of eight, moved with my family to the United Kingdom where we lived for six years. My time in the UK provided me with the opportunity to visit a number of European countries during family holidays and these initial trips inspired my love for travel.
Since returning to New Zealand in 2006 I have participated in a language trip to Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic as well as a month-long community service trip to Nepal.
After graduating for Victoria University of Wellington in June 2015, I spent one year in the workforce before deciding that now was the perfect time to travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have taken two years of work to travel and want to visit as many places as possible in that time. I would like to get an authentic experience of the places I visit and believe the best way of doing that is by interacting with the locals. Couchsurfing offers a great way to meet people who can offer firsthand knowledge of the best places to visit and top things to do!
