My wife and I quit our jobs about 4 years ago and decided to trust God with every area of our lives. After a year of praying, reading the bible, unlearning and relearning we started a new spiritual life which affects every area of our lives. We have never been poorer financially and richer in every other way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I guess it is because my two kids are couch surfers.

Interests

People, communities , the bible, growing food to eat, living outside of normally unchallenged norms, music (writing, playing, performing), stories (if you ask me I may tell you one).

Music, Movies, and Books

I like lots of different music, movies and book but tend to dislike using music and other stuff as a gauge of a person., but just so I am not being a total pain...
Music- Damien Rice, Ray Lamontagne, Jon Foreman, Jon Butler trio 'Oceans'.
Movies- It's a Wonderful life, Castaway, Into the Wild.
Books- I will read the bible the rest of my life and love it more and more. Truly astounding, the word book just doesn't do it justice. I also like Dale Carnegie's 'How to win friends and influence them', oft referenced but rarely read by people, a truly sincere book, not what people expect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Give up trying to do this life and give my life to God for Him to do a better job than me.

I think learning is best done when people want to learn..ask a question and we can discuss what we think the answer is.
