Overview
About Me
I'm a 22 year old Russian guy who grew up in the United States. I can speak both Russian and English fluently. In November of 2014, I moved from Seattle to Moscow. I'm using the opportunity to travel around a bit. My goal is to get as close as possible to visiting all the countries in the world. I'm a photographer so I love to do quite a bit of exploring!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I find that when visiting a new area, the best way to get to know the place is to connect with the locals. Instead of being holed up at a hotel, I'd rather share my experiences with others.
Interests
I'm into photography, hiking and cooking. I studied Culinary Arts for two years and at one point worked in a restaurant. I decided to pursue a career in photography as that had more opportunities for travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
Oh shoot, where to start haha
Music:
I love pretty much everything. It just depends on what I'm doing. Some of the bands and artists I'm into are: Imagine Dragons, Ben Howard, Andy Mineo, Gungor, Fun., Avicii, Franz Ferdinand, Mika, Lana Del Rey, Cake, Drake, Sigma, Ages and Ages, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and etc. Really the list goes on and on.
Books:
I read a lot. Like all the time. Especially since I've moved to Moscow, I get a lot of time to read on the subway. Some of my favorite authors: Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Jules Verne, Dumas, Ray Bradbury, Roald Dahl, Jane Austen, Mark Twain, George Orwell, C.S. Lewis, Tolkien.
Movies:
I absolutely adore cinema. A good movie gets me motivated. If I'm feeling a little down or as though life is meaningless a movie will get me back in the swing of things. Some of my favorites: Shutter Island, Now You See Me, Pulp Fiction, Walter Mitty, Sherlock, Dr. Who, Salt, Cashback, Gone Girl, Lord of the Rings, Monty Python, Harry Potter, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Physician, Matrix Trilogy, Inception, Django.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I think the most amazing thing I've done was to move from Seattle to Moscow all by myself. I was 6 when my parents moved to the States so I hadn't lived in Russia for 16 years. In November, without really know anybody here, I moved to Moscow and have been enjoying it ever since!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to take a good photo, how to use your dSLR, how to do edits in Lightroom and Photoshop. I can also teach you how to speak Russian or English if you're trying to learn. I enjoy a good conversation. I love talking about different subjects! Religion, psychology, creativity, lifestyle, current issues, politics, everything is game!
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you host me, I can share some rad adventures ;) I can take some portraits of you, as well as cook! I'm generally a tidy guy and won't be too much of a hassle.
