My name is Timmy Sullivan, and I love languages. I am currently studying Spanish and Arabic, and hope to graduate with a degree in foreign languages.

I want to share genuine experiences with like-minded people. After participating in an exchange trip to Spain, (more details below), I discovered how much travel has to offer. Travel, especially travel with locals, offers so much experience about language, culture, and people. Traveling is the ultimate and most sincere form of education.

Interests

I have a lot of interests. I am always willing to try something new, go out and explore, or sit back and relax.

-I love genuine moments with others. They happen all the time, in all different places.

-Writing. I love reading, writing, and blogging.

-I am very interested in education. That is why I am traveling. Living with other people, trying new things, and being in new places teaches you more than anything else. I have always considered becoming a teacher. Maybe I will.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing experience of my life was participating in an exchange trip to Collado-Villalba, Spain. In Villalba, I lived for two weeks with a host family, exploring all aspects of the language and culture in the Madrid area. After that initial trip, I hosted my exchange brother for two weeks, then returned to Spain to live with my host family a second time. This experience was incredible. I discovered a lot about myself, about a foreign culture, and about what it means to travel. I learned that traveling is not always staying in hotels and sightseeing, but that traveling is experiencing moments with others, meeting incredible people, and immersing yourself in a new culture.

Teach, Learn, Share

I wanted, for a while, to be an English teacher. English is my native language, and I have studied grammar for years. (I really love grammar). I can help anyone practice their English.

I am passionate about language. I want to learn any language I can, and will be very eager to pick up new words and phrases. (I especially want to practice my Spanish). I also want to learn anything about the culture: fashion, food, sport.

I can share wonderful moments, laughter, and friendship.
