About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Become a mad scientist to save the world from itself

ABOUT ME

I am enthousiatic, I can go wild, tend to be hedonistic and enjoy the niceties of life.
However don't expect me to go on brainless drinking rampages or join a growling football-mob... I can be quite still and intellectual but hey, after a while, everyone needs to shutdown their brains...

PHILOSOPHY

Shit is fertilizer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer my couch and hope to meet new people, that's what couchsurfing is all about, right?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been to Amsterdam, stayed for a bar-crawl with my host. My hosts in Vancouver were great and I really hope to meet them again, somehow - it's just the other side of the planet :/
Seattle was okay, Stockholm was great!

In Nijmegen, I hosted Rajat for a conference he was attending and still remember the awesome Indian dish he made as a "thank you", also hosted a group of Italians for one night, but they were just on their way to Amsterdam, on a stop-over

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As I worked in Nature Conversation, we were counting birds on Europe's second biggest sand bank. It was like a desert in the middle of the ocean, populated by a swarm of 30.000 Red Knot birds which swarmed the air and with their bodies formed the most intricate and beautiful shapes. A sight very hard to forget. Ever.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook ... well ... sometimes things go amiss, but I have some recepies that always work and I am always willing to learn more tasty stuff - so please, let's cook and dine together!
