Couchsurfing just like hitchhiking, makes my heart light up. Will someone care enough to go out of their own way to accommodate a complete stranger? Everytime that question is answered with a yes I feel like I can hear the world's karma points go up by one... +1

I also love hearing the interesting stories of the people you meet along the way and I think there's no cooler way to get to know a country than staying with locals at their own place.
