Overview
About Me
A 21 year old university student (law) hailing from the beautiful city of Groningen in the north of the Netherlands, born and raised around that city
New to couchsurfing, excited to find out what it's all about
I am a very friendly, easy-going and sociable kind of guy. It's difficult to get me angry
I always try to be humble and try to understand where people 'are coming from', I do expect other people to do the same with me though
I like to look at things in a positive and not too serious way when I can
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm heading over to San Francisco with a friend of mine in August. We figured that if we would be surfing couches along the way, we would get much more of a taste of local life, and meet loads of interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen mostly to American rap/hip-hop, and a little bit of Dutch, but I can appreciate most genres of music
In movies and series I generally enjoy a good laugh or a thrilling story
If anyone watches Game of Thrones; I wouldn't want to miss out on that while traveling around the Bay area this August, so I would be more than happy to join in on that.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I came in 3rd in a Mario Kart Double Dash (gamecube) tournament this year. If that's not amazing I don't know what is. Well to be fair I also just got my bachelor's degree, that's pretty cool too. I also won a sailing competition with my dad in 2013.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I mostly like to share conversations and laughs. I could also cook a little or tell wonderful tales about Dutch culture. For example: barely anyone here lives in a windmill or wears wooden shoes. We are all pretty much born on bicycles though.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland
Countries I’ve Lived In
