Caminante de los Andes with Shiva 🐶🏔️

I’m Tarek Timoteo, born from Peruvian and Egyptian bloodlines, carrying two ancient worlds within me, the Pyramids and the Andes, the desert and the mountain. Together with Shiva, from the heart of Iquitos, Peru, we walk the ancestral trails of this land, weaving nature, spirit, and story into every journey.

Through Caminos Nyaupak (our Organization), I guide journeys that blend Andean cosmology, local culture, and self-discovery, where we walk not to conquer mountains, but to listen to them.

I move between worlds: the material and the spiritual, the past and the present, the colonial and the ancestral. Each trail becomes a bridge to reconnect with the wisdom of the Apus (sacred mountain in Quechua) the rhythms of nature, and the parts of ourselves that the modern world often makes us forget.

I grew up in Italy, where I lived from the age of three until eighteen, then spent 7 years in London, a place that opened me to new ways of seeing the world, by exploring psychedelic experiences and to connect with the ancestral plants. After that, I chose to travel back to Peru where I now live, and work in Cusco, following a call that felt more like destiny than decision. Along the way, I’ve visited and connected with incredible places, from the sacred silence of the Andes to the magnetic rhythm of New York City, a place I loved deeply for its openness and vibrant spirit. In less than a week there, I made friends for life, proof that true connection transcends distance, language, and culture.

Now my life is rooted in the mountains, where I share slow treks and cultural experiences that weave together walking meditation, Andean knowledge, and human connection.
