ABOUT ME

My name is Tim and I often invoke the word "fabulous" into my daily conversation. I am a communication design major at Carnegie Mellon University and I am from Pittsburgh, Pa! I am studying in St. Gallen Switzerland for a semester and am hoping to travel around Europe while I am here. If my friends were to describe me, they would say that I am sarcastic and witty and hopefully nice. I'm a creative gay boy and I enjoy meeting new people, making new friends, exploring new places. If my friends are being honest, they would say that I also love eating and talk about bread all the time. I am very easy going and open; I am always interested in learning and am always open to new people and experiences. I like to think I have a good sense of humor and I really enjoy making people laugh.

I have never CouchSurfed before but I am very interested in surfing throughout Europe.

Interests

I love design, drawing, painting, anything creative. I play the viola and I love all varieties of music. I enjoy seeing shows, operas, ballets, going to museums, and watching movies. When I get the chance, I love reading and spending quiet time by myself. Fashion is one of my favorite things and I'm always reading magazines and shopping. I love spending time both in the city and in nature. During the weekend, I like going out dancing and having fun but nothing too crazy. Sometimes I'd rather just spend a quiet night watching an old movie. I love meeting new people. I enjoy good food and quality company. I'm a pretty fun guy :) Also I love award shows.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 11, my family took a family trip to the Winter Olympics on Salt Lake City. Even though we woke up at 4 in the morning every day and only ate mini boxes of cereal in the car, looking back it was an incredible experience. I will never forget driving through Utah as the sun was rising and staring in awe at the rocky mountains. The trip was amazing both for the landscape and for the sense of community that the Olympics promote. It was thrilling being apart of something on such a global scale and cheering for the athletes from all over the world. Yes it was cold and yes I complained about only eating granola bars, but now I look back and think fondly of being there and seeing something as unique as the Olympic Games.

i recently took my first day trip to Zurich and was awe-struck by the beauty of the city. And the beautiful men in suits, but mostly the city itself haha. It was so pleasant walking around, watching the swans in the river, and looking up at the gorgeous churches and stores. It was amazing being in such an old city.

I know a lot about random crap. I know everything about the house of Dior, the Academy Awards, the Romanov family. I have watched every episode of Sex and the city at least four times. I know a lot about art and design history and classical music.
