On a sabbatical...

ABOUT ME

I like visiting new cities, but also to get out of them into the countryside.

I like reading books, both from the past and contemporary but not future and only about the real world. I can enjoy a book from any country or continent but I still find fiction from my own backyard the easiest to connect with.

I am open to try different types of food and drinks, not only Alcoholic. I am not always fussy about what I eat but I like to make an effort when I cook for someone else.

PHILOSOPHY

I am happy with whom I am and like adventures that may not have any real plans or a real end point... I like to be able to move around easily so I have never held a great volume of belongings that could not easily be put away with family or friends. I cherish good friends even if they are distant by geography.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf but not just for a place to sleep. I like to learn new things from hosts but teach something new too. I like to ask questions about where I am visiting but also try to give answers from my own experiences travelling and life in general.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had nice experiences in general, I think its quite humble for a host to let someone into their home and I like to give respect to them for that by being open and an interesting person to have in their home. I am generally interested in listening to other ways of life and talking openly about my own.

Interests

I like to be outside, and in all different seasons. I enjoy summer to be able to wear shorts and shirt everyday but also to rug up in winter. I like taking photo's but not to serious about how good they might be... I like to read when I have some quiet time but i also like to get out and walk and hire a bicycle to see new cities and also wander off into the countryside for walks. I enjoy the company of my friends.
