ABOUT ME

I nearly always have plans to attend a Science Pub, music festival, beer festival, pub crawl, flash mob style party, live concert, dance club event, or Timber's Football (soccer) match, etc. I've always worked to live not vice versa and love to have fun in a million different ways from enjoying sun on waterfront park, road trips, to international travel. But right now, I'm enjoying every day in Portland to its fullest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS years ago but I was camping during my travels back then and never really had much need for a couch. Recently at a festival called SOAK CouchSurfing had a theme camp there and it reminded me I should revisit this site. I live in one of the few remaining 100+ year old houses left right downtown by PSU. It's a great central location for getting out and about in Portland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have enormous experience offering my previous couches to friends of friends of friends... But I haven't yet participated in this website other than the fact that I joined.

Interests

Travelling, politics, science, current events, good beer, hiking, camping, concerts, festivals, pub crawls, Santacon, parties, etc.

I love discussing the political & economic climate of the world we live in. The historical basis for current issues and the ideas and practices of people around the world aiming at making the world a better place tomorrow.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love everything from world beat music, Eagles of Death Metal, to Dub Step & electronica. But damn do I hate rap and the negative attitudes that come with it.

I mostly read about research and current events but pick up a book every few months.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent 4 years travelling around North America on my motorcycle stopping to work in most every large city to save some dosh and keep on travelling. That was before going overseas for 7 years. I've lived in London, Oz, NZ, sailed across the Pacific, and travelled to many places in between.
