Grew up in New England, went to school in Chicago, moved to DC and then San Francisco, and then back to DC, where I work for a magazine. I once drove 16 hours round-trip to attend an Al Franken bobblehead giveaway. I make a mean huevos rancheros.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed across the country for three months a few years ago and then sporadically ever since in a bunch of totally random places, usually for work. I also hosted when I can. Couchsurfing is tops.
