About us
Hi! We’re Carlos (34) and Maite (31), a married couple from Spain who share a passion for traveling, photography, and connecting with people from all over the world.
Carlos is a teacher, engineer, and musician, and so far he has visited 93 countries across four continents. Maite is a psychologist, currently doing her PhD, and she has already visited 50 countries — she’s passionate about understanding people, cultures, and the many ways of living around the world.
We love meaningful travel — not just visiting places, but truly immersing ourselves in local culture: learning traditions, trying local food, and having real conversations with the people we meet.
We believe the best way to understand a country is through its people. That’s why we love Couchsurfing — it allows us to share experiences, learn, and build friendships that go beyond borders.
Our next big trip will last four months, starting in Bangladesh and continuing through Nepal, India, Bhutan, and Southeast Asia. We’ll be traveling with our backpacks and cameras, documenting the journey through stories and photography on our travel projects:

We’re respectful, easygoing, and open-minded guests who love to share meals, help around, and exchange ideas about life and culture. We’re also happy to help our hosts practice Spanish or English if they wish!
For us, traveling isn’t just about discovering new places — it’s about meeting people, learning from them, and creating meaningful connections that make every journey unforgettable.

🇪🇸 VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL
Sobre nosotros
¡Hola!
