To travel a bit during the next few years. Outside europe for sure.

ABOUT ME

I drink, I don't smoke, I eat meat but I really enjoy vegetarian foods, because people usually put more effort into it (I know I do).

I grew up in a somewhat small town (50k inhabitants) and after military service I moved to a somewhat bigger town, Helsinki (approx 500k inhabitants).
At the moment I'm in a situation where I make enough money to make two month-long trips a year and I'm going to exploit this easy setting to the best of my abilities.

I do get along, but not with absolutely everybody I'm afraid. For some reason not all people can like everybody and that's life, but so far there have been but a handful of those and then only after a considerable amount of exposure (upper middle school).

I'm honest and sometimes that gets me into trouble, but only with people I know really well.
"I really don't know how that dress is different from the othOUCHSTOPIT!"

I'm playful, and sometimes people look at me really funny when I forget where I am.

I can behave but with people I'm comfortable with, I make myself at home.

A few people have called me smart to my face and I'm not sure whether that's a compliment or an insult. TBA.

When I'm really interested in something, there's no limit to the amount of time I can spend on that. However it's not often a very universally useful task.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll try to attend the weekly meetings in Helsinki,
but otherwise I should have a couch at the ready at all times.
However, I prefer to host on weekends.

兴趣

Reading some, playing GO whenever I get the chance.

Movies I enjoy include: Life of Brian, Herbie The Love Bug, Crank, The Matrix, Mary Poppins, Inglorious Bastards etc. I'm not really into horror, but Paranormal Activity was good enough to advertise.

Terry Pratchett and Douglas Adams have managed to trap the best humour in their fantastic novels. I'm trying to read the classics but unfortunately they seem to go a bit over my head, mostly because I haven't studied the contemporary history to put their writings into perspective :/

I can teach a trick using a glass, two forks and a toothpick. Not very useful, but if you want to get into it, there's plenty to learn about levers and tension :)
Skiing, skating, felling a tree, rowing, seamen's wrestling... +some things I can't think of to be things to be taught.

I'd like to learn to cook your local foods, or to say hello or count to 10 in your local dialect.
And things I can't think of!
