I'm on a 3 year around the world ski tour

ABOUT ME

I was born in Maine and grew up there until i was 21. I spent my time on the water and the snow. I moved to Boulder, Colorado to go to Massage college and try a different state. While there i skied around 3 days a week for 3 years and really fell in love with the sport. I worked as a massage therapist and a bartender/waiter to support my habit. now i'm in Argentina following the snow and learning Spanish.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to live by the golden rule of "do on to others..." or "treat people the way you want to be treated."

i also believe it is very important to be working towards a goal. whether that be living a happy and comfortable life or climbing mount everest. Have a drive in my life has been the most rewarding aspect of aspect.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've decided the best way i can participate is as follows; 1st, being very respectful of the space that i have been trusted with. 2nd cleaning up after myself. 3rd. making sure the fridge has food in it(or beer, your choice). 4th, i love to cook. Basically i try to be a stand up dude because all i have to offer right now is myself. When i have a couch available it will be surfed hard.

Skiing, surfing, music, education for myself and others, people, pretty much any mountain or water sport. Comedy, speaking in different accents and learning new languages. having a really good time.

Love books. i have about 2/3 of a creative writing and literature degree. Music is one of the things i don;t think i could live without. love playing it and i listen to everything from really old motown and jazz to reggae, hip hop, and rap, to death metal and hardcore. movies are cool to.

I love learning. For the next few years i really want to learn new languages. Being taught is a wonderful and humbling experience that i believe is very important for growth. The expression "to teach is to learn twice" rings true with me. what i have to offer: Massage therapist, carpenter/handyman, cook, ski instructor, bartender, English instructor. I am a relatively neat guy and i like to clean stuff. I know how to captain any kind of boat. i like to grow things. I consider myself a master fisherman. I love driving. i think i may know most of the American slang out there.
