About Me

Hello there! I am Timur, 28 years old and studying journalism and English literature and- linguistics, and Management in Berlin, which is my favorite city in Germany and quiet different to the rest of the country. There are heaps of great parks and it would probably take a lifetime to check all of them out, nice bars and restaurants, and of course the craziest parties one can experience.
Currently I am working for a French startup a couple days a week, doing accounting work and in my free times I do a lot of traveling. I have been on the road for almost six years but have been settling down here in Berlin for a little while to obtain a degree. I like photography, especially street photography, all kinds of arts (especially surrealism, contemporary, streetart), architecture, music (going to concerts at least once a week) and food. Additionally, I love hiking and camping - favorite places I have been to were in the Himalayas, up to Annapurna basecamp, Abel Tasman national park in New Zealand, Hampi in India, and Sri Lanka. Furthermore, I like sports, especially Skateboarding and I almost always have my board with me while traveling and I meet many cool people through it (that’s why I once was stuck in Saigon for three months, because I had so much fun skating with the locals all around the city). Moreover, I am learning to surf, I like climbing, and cycling once in a while.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My favorite movies of all time are Matrix and Fight Club.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Too many things to list here. Last cool thing I’ve done was traveling through India, Nepal and Sri Lanka for almost a year, experiencing many magnificent moments, like attending my friends wedding, riding a scooter across Sri Lanka, through tea plantations and past elephants and monkeys, hiking in the Himalayas in Nepal and meeting many great people in India, checking out heaps of temples, meeting Gurus, Shamans and many fellow spiritual travelers - learning about life.
