ABOUT ME

I am friendly, but not overly outgoing. My sense of humor tends toward the absurd, i.e., I much prefer hearing a real-life story, even a rambling one without a clear "punchline," to a joke (esp. a joke prefaced with superlatives about how devastatingly funny it is).

PHILOSOPHY

I try to meditate in silence for 10 minutes every day to create a little bit of space in my life. Otherwise I am in a frantic rush to read as many books as I can before I die and keep a constant stream of tea flowing into my body.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My friend Fatih picking up a mangled, dead, wide-eyed, recently run-over cat from the middle of a road in Istanbul and gently placing it on top of a brick wall by the sidewalk.
