ABOUT ME

I'm and outgoing and open-minded person who loves to meet new people and get to know new places! I enjoy a fun night out with great people, drinks and good music to dance to as well as I do enjoy calmer evenings to catch up with old friends over some good dinner.
I already lived in different places in the world, was it for a high school exchange year, an internship or to go to uni abroad, and have met great people along the way. I'm a rather restless person and still trying to figure out what I really want to do with my life and where I want to do it. Different opinions and perspectives from people from different backgrounds are highly appreciated :-)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I am absolutely new to CouchSurfing but the idea of hosting someone or maybe just offering a coffee to someone from a different place or being hosted by someone really got me. I can imagine that it is a nice experience to show someone around in your city and nearby area and to show them some of your life and culture. The same for the other way round. Being hosted by a local while traveling is probably the best way to really get to know a place, with insider tips and direct culture exchange.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Didn't have any CouchSurfing experience yet but am curious about it as I increasingly meet people that have done it before and loved it!

Interests

Oh, I think I've already answered most of it in the "All about you" section. Really like traveling around and getting to know new things. I love to explore a country's natural beauty as well as I like to get to know the culture too, including food, arts, traditions and history.
When it comes to sports, I have to admit that I'm a bit lazy. I do like water sports though and would like to improve my not yet so well developed surfing skills.
Enjoy catching up with long time friends, as well as going out and dancing!

Music, Movies, and Books

That's always a difficult question. I do like to watch movies but for some reason, after a while I just cannot remember what happened. At least that's the case for many movies I've seen or books I've read. I do remember some movies that I liked though - Little Miss Sunshine, Juno, Slumdog Millionaire, Some like it hot...
Books, I always list The Beach here. It's been years since, but ver since I've read it, it was or still is my dream to travel around the world. Didn't like the movie too much though. Other books I liked are Life of Pi and The 5 People you meet in Heaven. Also liked Twilight, believe it or not :-)
Music... there is so many good music. It has to fit to my mood but generally said I would say that I like alternative, punk, rock & pop, funk as well as electronic music. At the moment I really like Mark Ronson (also his look...), The Drums, The Pixies, Bombay Bicycle Club, Feist...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Really enjoyed New Zealand - the Tongariro Crossing, Sky Diving, Franz Josef Glacier. And there are so many other great things I've already have seen, i.e. Kathrine's Gorge in Northern Australia, Great Ocean Road and Wilsons Prom close to Melbourne. Also loved the monkeys in the pousada where I stayed in Rio.
