ABOUT ME

I love nature and I work for nature. I am currently pursuing my PhD in urban ecology and sustainability. I am a bit of an introvert, but I immensely care for people and love to meet new people. I love challenges and tend to look for the difficult routes... Living in other countries and experiencing other cultures have had a tremendous impact in the way I am. Between other things, it has taught me about the beauty in difference.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy giving tours to couchsurfers in my native city Medellin... Since I moved to Utah, I have been busy with my PhD, but in contact with wonderful local couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met the key people in my life right now through Couchsurfing. People who has trusted me more than I trusted myself. And people who finally has helped me realize and understand who I am and where I want to go. People I immensely value.

Interessen

I love what I do; I work on urban ecology and I am very interested in urban sustainability. I am always thirsty for learning. Almost anything. I love movies, those more in the non-traditional side and don't watch much TV, but recently addicted to Breaking Bad. I enjoy wine and cooking!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

I have enjoyed recently: The lives of others, Shutter Island, The Pianist, Inglourious basterds, The constant gardener, Babel, Inception, The King's speech, Beginners... I am currently reading a colombian novel "La Voragine" that I am enjoying and also Susan Cain's book on introverts... Very wide range in music taste...

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I lived through tough violence times in Colombia. I witnessed and experience crazy stuff. On a more positive note, I went to Burning Man for the first time this year... Life changing...

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I have my creative side that sadly I have been repressing lately... But I like drawing, making jewelry, cooking... I would be happy to share that with you and also a delicious colombian dish!
