ABOUT ME

I'm a third year student at UCLA, studying International Development and Spanish. I'm spending the current semester (Fall 2010) in Barcelona studying at the University of Pompeu Fabra. While here, I'm also working as an English teacher and nanny for a young girl and attempting to travel as much as possible on the weekends. So far, I've planned trips to Geneva, London, Manchester, Casablanca, and Rome...but I'm looking to add more to the agenda.

Too many titles to name, but Hemingway, Dave Eggers, David Sedaris, and Kurt Vonnegut are some of my favorite authors.

I have a pretty broad taste in music, but I'm very passionate about my favorites. To name a few: Frightened Rabbit, Death Cab for Cutie, James Taylor, Counting Crows, Temper Trap, Norah Jones, Iron & Wine, Regina Spektor, Rilo Kiley...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In high school, I was hired to teach another student at my school geometry. When I got to her house, I found out that she had just moved here from Iran and didn't know more than a few words of English. Over the next four years, I helped this girl learn English while helping her with all of her academic subjects. She's now doing really well in college. Nothing I've ever done has been as rewarding as the time that I spent with her.
