About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Being a citizen of the world

ABOUT ME

I'm a bit shy... but only the first 5 seconds. After that, you will discover a crazy person. Great dreamer, sometimes melancholic, like to meet new faces to don't forget how human nature is diverse and beautiful. I'm a talkative person so, I really enjoy to talk and exchange with different people because I think we have a lot to learn about the others. I'm open-minded and believe that the world is a great "experimentation field" where we can have wonderful experiences and meeting.

PHILOSOPHY

"L'enfer c'est les autres" Sartre.
Translation : "The hell is the others".

Don't be offended! I like the humans but "L'enfer c'est les autres" in the sense where that is very difficult to stay true to yourself because of the eyes of others.

People judge the difference because it's easier to classify by clichés than trying to understand or discover. Then, we have to forget this look that weighs on us to try being true to who you are... and accepted the people for who they are!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have unfortunately never hosted any couchsurfers because I don't have my own flat but I hope to do it later.I have therefore only a few experiences regarding hosting and surfing. Some friends of mine introduced me the concept a couple of years ago and since then, I love it! I wish to meet more and more couchsurfers to expand this wonderful human network.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I mainly started to use CS during my Erasmus in Sweden from September to December 2011. I couched for the very first time in Olso... that was not the best moment of my life but I'm decided to repeat the experience!Otherwise, I also used the website to make friends in this new town that I didn't know and to meet people that I filmed for the project of my course of Documentary Film. You can take a look on it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiyiKvLiNHQ&feature=youtu.beIn my City of Liège, I have never really used CS but I planned to change that!

Interests

I wish I could travel around all the world more often, longer and farther.I have an interrest for Art and Culture in general. I love to take pictures and keep trying to improve my technical skills by practicing as often as I can. I also would like to get better in the use of photoshop and others editing software. The Cinema is one of the thing that I like the most. I confess that I don't know my classics (working on it!) but I work like a volunteer for the little cinema "Churchill" in my city and thus, most of the time, I am very aware of the film releases and try to go to the cinema at least twice a week when I have time. So, I'm always looking for some company to share a nice movie :)Since I tried making and editing movies, I have the new ambition to continue this and develop some personal little projects (experimental and documentary films). Btw, if you have some ideas and the desire to create something with me, let me know. I'm also interrested by writing (even if I almost never do it, it's something that I really appreciate). But of course, nothing is never as good as when you share it.I love to drink a cup of tea philosophizing with my closest friend, I love to eat a delicious crepe with ice-cream telling the last gossip with my best friend or a "boulets-frites" in a lovely restaurant with my grandma. I love going out for a huge student party with all my classmates or simply drinking a glass of beer or a "peket" in a little pub after a class-day. I love taking pictures with my talented friend or watching a movie with my unbearable movie buff who knows everything! I love to listen my 14 years old brother playing guitar like a little rock star... I love all those things that make that your life is the best life in the world only because you have friends to share it.But that's not all. Meeting new people and hanging out with new faces is also one of the most stimulating thing that I know. I couldn't live without that. I love to make new friends or simply talk with a complete stranger and share sometimes my most intimate and personnal experiences, ideas and thoughts. When you don't know people, it's sometimes easir to express what you really think and to show yourself like a new person without being judged through your past life.
