About Me
Hello everyone!
My name is Tiphaine and I live in Brittany, France! With my friend Mathis, we're doing a 6-month Tour of Europe, from 20 January to 02 July! The aim of this European tour is to identify inspiring projects that combat social inequalities in the fields of education and food.
In Brittany, I work with people in precarious situations and social exclusion, and I volunteer for the Red Cross with people living in the street. Mathis works with young people, particularly to prevent them dropping out of school. He's also a volunteer camp leader! We're 26 and 24.
We're both very curious about the world around us, and we love talking about the environment, social issues, solidarity, world cuisine, music and much more! We also love sharing our hiking, gardening and cooking time!
We look forward to meeting you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We want to share this trip with the locals in the towns we'll be visiting, to create even more good times and enrich our stay with interculturality, inspiring stories and advice of all kinds!
In keeping with the aim of our trip, we also want to talk to people who will share their experiences of schooling and access to healthy, sustainable food.
We're also volunteering to help out and make ourselves useful during our stay :)
If you're passing through Rennes, I'd also be delighted to show you around the city and share a friendly moment!

What I Can Share with Hosts
When I travel, I like to share simple moments such as cooking, hiking, going out to bars and restaurants, watching people live their lives from the terrace of a café, listening to music for hours on buses or trains. Travel is part of time, and I believe that every moment should be lived mindfully, in the most respectful way possible towards the environment and other people.
I can share my experiences of traveling by train across Europe, the rules of “Tamoul,” an addictive card game, my vegetarian recipes, my love of world music, and much more.
The most important thing is meeting people, laughing, and sharing our worldviews and cultures for a moment. I've also learned that taking time to recharge is just as necessary. The people I meet through CouchSurfing inspire me a lot with their lifestyles that combine meditation and yoga, for example.
